Welcome to the home of
Miss Nerdstiles!
Cat Smith is the reigning Miss Nerdstiles, having inherited the crown from absolutely no one, because she made it up. She is an actor, a musician, a cosplayer, and a general nuisance (General Nuisance *salute*). She and her ukulele have charmed the collective socks off of LI Who and LI Geek (as the house band, no less), ReGeneration Who, ConnectiCON, Wicked Faire, and The Way Station. You can find her on YouTube and Instagram as deadlightsgirl, and her favourite drink is Templeton on the rocks, in case you were wondering/buying.
What's up with me?
If there is a better way to celebrate one's birthday than making music for a bunch of old friends and making new ones, I can't imagine what it would be, and The Way Station is the room where it happens (and will happen again this fall!). The coolest part is that that both the birthday gig and Uke-Fest were livestreamed, and can be seen here http://livamp.com/catsmith!
LI Who 3 was amazing! This show just gets better every year...can't wait til LI Who 4!
ReGeneration Who is seriously the stuff of magic. I honestly don't know how Oni Hartstein and her team pull off the hoodoo that they do, but they do it SO well.
LI Geek saw the premiere of my Thomas Jefferson (a la Hamilton) cosplay, and, most importantly, was not in an airport - though honestly, this crowd would still manage to have hella fun even it had been again.
What's next?
In May, I'll be a guest at shiny new Who con, Coal Hill Convention, brought to you by the same group that brought you MISTI-Con. http://www.coalhill.com/
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - I HAS A CD NOW!
It's a single, two songs for five bucks, both Whovian in nature, and it can be YOURS if you contact me through my Miss Nerdstiles Facebook page. AMAZING!
